About the Role
GLIN is seeking a full-time analyst to join our consulting department. This position also offers the opportunity to be involved in the investment department for 20~30% of the work, depending on the individual's preference. The main tasks of the position is to support the partners and managers providing consulting services by providing documentation and analysis in the area of ESG/Sustainability. In the investment department, the task will mainly be supporting their activities. Many of our partners and managers have studied at top graduate schools abroad (Harvard, MIT MBA/MS, etc.), and depending on your performance, you may be eligible for company-sponsored study abroad programs and letters of recommendation from us, so this is an attractive opportunity for those who are interested in attending a top overseas graduate school (MBA/MS) in the future.
Requirements
You'll work in teams of typically 3~5 consultants to identify, and oftentimes implement, potential solutions for a specific client problem or challenge.
As part of the project team, you will collaborate with experienced senior consultants, project managers, and partners on consulting projects in the following areas:
ESG/CSR/Sustainability strategy development
Materiality analysis
ESG disclosure and response support
Integrated report preparation and editing support
Support for TCFD recommendations
Visualization of GHG emissions
Other ESG/sustainability-related consulting
In addition, those who wish to be involved in our impact/ESG investment work may contribute 20~30% of their share of the work to our impact/ESG investment work such as:
Conducting financial, business, and impact due diligence
Increasing the value of portfolio companies
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree (those with graduate degrees are appreciated: Master’s degree, MBA, PhD., etc.)
Applicants without a bachelor's degree may still apply if they have ESG/sustainability-related knowledge and consulting skills gained through work experience or self-study.
Experience: at least 2 years of work experience in the consulting field. (Experience in ESG/sustainability consulting is preferred but not required.)
Possess skills in logical thinking, problem identification, and resolution.
Ability to work not only as a team member but as a self-starter.
Excellent IT skills including Google office suite and/or Microsoft office applications.
Native or fluent level of Japanese (speaking, reading, and writing).
Business level or higher English proficiency (reading and writing).
Passion for solving social issues and ESG/sustainability.
